Buy Energy Star Products

Products in more than 60 categories are eligible for the ENERGY STAR. They use less energy, save money, and help protect the environment. From appliances to electronics to heating & cooling products, buying ENERGY STAR products ensure the most energy efficiency. Programmable Thermostats

You can save as much as 10% a year on your heating and cooling bills by simply turning your thermostat back 10% to 15% for 8 hours. You can do this automatically by installing an automatic setback or programmable thermostat. We can even install wireless thermostats that can be controlled through a remote, so that you can always be in total control. Here is a chart that identifies recommended programmed thermostat set points.

Lighting Control

Use linear fluorescent tubes and energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) in fixtures throughout your home to provide high-quality and high-efficiency lighting. Fluorescent lamps are much more efficient than incandescent (standard) bulbs and last about 6 to 12 times longer. Tremendous savings can be realized by controlling the amount of wattage used by light bulbs and installing dimming devices which conserves electricity, saves energy costs, and extends the life of light bulbs!
