Challenge
To create a dedicated home theater in their unfinished basement that the whole family could easily enjoy.

Westchester Audio Video Solution
To make the system easy to use, we specified a wireless Crestron touch screen. This ensured the system would work every time, for everybody. Nine Cinematech theater chairs were installed in a tiered configuration, allowing all seats a clear view of the 110-inch Stewart filmscreen.

Parasound Halo electronics and NHT speakers were used to create the perfect surround sound environment. This guarantees that the roar of the crowd during a sporting event comes through just as clearly as the epic battles of Lord of the Rings.

The challenges of the marine environment called for detailed communication between ship builder, client and our design team. Working closely, we echoed the comfort and reliability of a home system.

6" Elan VIA touch screen controllers allow a full complement of entertainment choices to be selected throughout. Fujitsu and Sharp flat panel displays allowed for brilliant video without the bulk and clutter of traditional TVs.

Upgrading a sound system to recreate the experience of our client's Bronxville, NY home, while complementing a more casual décor.

Westchester Audio Video Solution
After creating a reference-caliber sound system at his year 'round residence, our client decided that an upgrade was in order at his summer house for both audio AND video.

An Elan music management system allowed for CD-quality audio, and the convenience of instant access to his library at the touch of a button.

Primare electronics allowed smaller Martin Logan speakers and a concealed subwoofer to replicate the grandeur of the client's main home system in a small on-wall design. This complemented the 63" Fujitsu plasma TV over the fireplace nicely.

The Result
Guests at the summer residence focus on the décor while our client is able to enjoy his audiophile-quality system.

Working closely with the decorator to balance functionality with décor, we designed a system that focused on ease of use and high performance.

We chose a Fujitsu 42" plasma display, a speaker system from PMC
and REL, and an extremely reliable and easy-to-use control system
from Niles.
