Home Technology Education for Residential Design and Build Professionals Now Offered in Westchester County

Local Electronic Systems Contractor Delivers Courses on Residential Electronic Systems

Harrison, NY (April 17, 2009)

Design and build professionals may now take advantage of professional development opportunities in Westchester County. Electronic systems contractor Bob Krasne of Westchester Audio Video Design Group is now offering three educational courses designed to help participants strengthen their working knowledge of home technology systems and possibly earn continuing education credits.

These educational sessions were developed by the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA), a residential electronic systems industry trade organization of which Bob Krasne is a member.

The demand for technology-based entertainment, convenience and security solutions continues to grow. To help design and build professionals stay abreast of industry trends, CEDIA has created the Registered Outreach Instructor (ROI) program, responsible for developing course materials and training CEDIA members to deliver the education. CEDIA has worked with several residential organizations to create current, relevant content that helps attendees better understand the role technology plays in the modern connected home. Members of the American Institute of Architects and the American Institute of Building Design can receive continuing education credits for their participation in approved courses.

"As electronic systems continue to grow in popularity, it's increasingly important for design and build professionals to be aware of the capabilities homeowners are demanding," said Bob Krasne. "CEDIA's ROI courses offer key information that can help increase participants’ understanding of how these systems fit into today's home."}

As a CEDIA ROI, Bob Krasne offers course titles including Building Quiet Environments, Home Integration for Convenience, Comfort, and Safety and Structured Wiring for the Integrated Home. Eight additional courses are in development and expected to be available for delivery in mid 2009. These courses are recommended for architects, homebuilders, interior designers, building designers and related professionals.
