Cyber Security · Westchester & Fairfield County
A connected house, closed to strangers.
A house full of connected devices has a great many ways in, and almost none of them were designed with your front door in mind.
What protecting a connected house involves.
Televisions, thermostats, streaming boxes, lighting systems and voice assistants all sit on the same network, and most arrive with minimal protection out of the box. A single weak device is enough to expose personal data, financial accounts and, uncomfortably, the security system itself.
Our cyber protection service is powered by Prime Radiant and Cyberscout, a TransUnion brand, which brings the kind of protection normally built for businesses into ordinary connected homes. We fit it to the network we have already built for you rather than bolting a generic product on top.
There are three levels. PROTECT covers the personal side: a 24/7 helpline staffed by fraud specialists, identity theft resolution, three-bureau credit monitoring, dark web and breach detection, social media and child identity monitoring, breach risk scoring through BreachIQ, password tools, and two million dollars of identity theft and cyber expense reimbursement that extends to ransomware and social engineering.
GUARD adds the house itself: real-time monitoring of connected devices, detection of vulnerable or untrusted products, monthly device reports, alerts for unusual activity on the network, and specific coverage for the platforms people actually own: Ring, Nest, Alexa, Hue and similar.
The top level is for households with genuinely higher exposure. It adds live Security Operations Centre monitoring around the clock, continuous intrusion detection with automated response, network hardening and segmentation, a digital exposure audit, and concierge support, integrated with the automation and AV systems already in the house.
The point of doing this through us rather than through a generic subscription is that we already know what is on your network, because we put it there.

Common questions
What people ask us about cyber security.
- Is a home really a target?
- Not usually a targeted one, which is the point. Most of what reaches a house is automated and indiscriminate, sweeping for devices with default passwords and open ports. A connected house simply has more ways in than an unconnected one.
- What actually gets protected?
- The network first, then the devices on it. Thermostats, televisions and controllers are separated from the computers and phones that hold your life, so a weak device cannot become a way into everything else.
- Will this slow the house down?
- No. Done properly it is invisible from inside the house. Segmentation and filtering happen on equipment built for it rather than on a router already struggling to cover the top floor.
- Do we still need to think about passwords?
- Yes, and we will set the house up so the important ones are changed off their defaults and written down somewhere sensible. Most residential intrusions we see began with a default password that was never touched.
- Is this monitored?
- It can be, and on connected homes we recommend it. Watching the network around the clock means unusual behaviour gets seen rather than discovered later.
- Is this a one-off job or ongoing?
- Both. The setup is a project; keeping it current is not. Firmware updates and new devices arrive constantly, which is what the service plans cover.
Afterwards
Looked after by the people who installed it.
Our own crew does the work, so the number you call afterwards is the same one you called at the start. Equipment carries its manufacturer's warranty and we handle those claims rather than handing you a phone number. A service plan adds monitoring, next-business-day response and scheduled visits on top.

Tell us about the space. We'll come out and give you a straightforward plan.
The consultation is complimentary and it starts with a walkthrough or a set of drawings. You will leave it knowing what is realistic in your house, what it costs, and what can wait until phase two.
