24/7 System Monitoring · Westchester & Fairfield County

We watch the system so nobody in the house has to.

The best service call is the one that never has to happen, because the problem was spotted and fixed while everyone was asleep.

How the monitoring works.

Our monitoring platform is cloud-based and secure, and it watches the parts of a system that tend to fail quietly: routers, access points, cable boxes, control processors. When something stops responding it generates a notification immediately rather than waiting for someone to complain.

In most cases that means we know before you do. Around 80 percent of the issues we see can be diagnosed and resolved remotely, which usually means a device is rebooted or reconfigured overnight and nobody in the house is aware anything happened.

What that changes in practice is the shape of the relationship. Rather than the system degrading quietly until it is bad enough to call about, small faults get cleared as they appear, and the on-site visits that do happen are for things that genuinely need hands.

Monitoring is included from the entry level of our service plans upward. The plans are set out in full on the service plans page.

Common questions

What people ask us about 24/7 system monitoring.

What is actually being watched?
The network and the equipment on it. Access points, controllers, receivers and the connection itself report their condition continuously, so a device that has dropped or is misbehaving shows up as a problem rather than as a complaint.
What gets fixed without a visit?
Most of it. A good share of what goes wrong in a connected house is resolved remotely, often overnight. The best service call is the one that never had to happen.
Does this mean you can see inside our house?
No. Monitoring reports the health of equipment, not what anyone is watching or listening to. We will go through exactly what is and is not visible before you sign anything.
Do we have to be on a service plan?
Monitoring is part of the service plans rather than a separate product, and that is deliberate: watching a system is only useful if somebody acts on what it reports. Plans start at $79 a month.
What if something needs someone on site?
Then we come. Clients on a plan hold next-business-day response, and because most of our work is a short drive from the Armonk showroom we can often do better than that.
Is this worth it on a smaller system?
Not always, and we will say so. On a house with a handful of connected devices it is usually not necessary. On a house running lighting, shades, music and climate together, it is the difference between a system that stays working and one that slowly decays.
“Thank you for all your help in designing, installing and maintaining the audio/video system in my house. The level of support has been truly outstanding.”

Afterwards

Looked after by the people who installed it.

Our own crew does the work, so the number you call afterwards is the same one you called at the start. Equipment carries its manufacturer's warranty and we handle those claims rather than handing you a phone number. A service plan adds monitoring, next-business-day response and scheduled visits on top.
