Support

We are still here, years after the install.

Whether we put the system in or somebody else did, this is where to start. Most problems get sorted on the phone; the ones that do not get a van.

Reach a person

Call

Fastest, and usually the end of it. During business hours you get someone who can look at your system while you are talking.

Better for anything that needs a photograph: a blinking light, an error on screen, a cupboard of equipment you would rather we identified for you.

Worth having ready: what stopped working, roughly when, and whether anything changed in the house around then. A new router from the cable company explains more calls than anything else.

If we installed it

The people who come back are the people who were here.

Next-day service in the first year, and loaner equipment while something is out for repair where we have it to lend. It is not a marketing line. It is written down, with the exclusions stated, and it is the single thing no competitor in these two counties offers.

If somebody else installed it

We take on systems other people walked away from.

It is one of the more common calls we get. The company that did the work has closed, or moved on, or stopped returning calls, and a house full of equipment has quietly become nobody’s problem but yours. Apps stop working after an update. A licence lapses. One room goes silent and there is no one to ask.

We start with a visit and a written assessment: what is actually installed, how it was wired, what still has manufacturer support behind it, and what is genuinely at the end of its life. That document is yours whether or not you go any further with us.

What usually follows is less dramatic than people brace for. Most inherited systems have years left in them, and the fault is a failed switch, a forgotten account or a network that was never set up properly. Where something really is finished we say so, and we will tell you what it costs to leave it alone for another year rather than replace it this month.

What an assessment covers

  • An inventory of what is installed, room by room
  • How it is wired, and what is reachable without opening walls
  • Which equipment still has manufacturer support
  • What is failing now, and what will fail next
  • What can be kept, and what a sensible order of work looks like

Ongoing care

Plans exist because the houses that get looked after have far fewer bad days than the ones that do not. The cheapest of them is mostly monitoring, which is how we usually know about a problem before anyone in the house does.

Essential

$79per month

Round-the-clock monitoring of the systems that keep a house running. We usually know something has gone sideways before you pick up the phone.

Residence

$189per month

For the house where the system is used every day. Everything in Essential, plus scheduled visits and labor covered when we need to come out.

Estate

Quotedper property

Larger properties, multiple buildings, or a household staff that needs someone on call. We write the plan around how the house is actually run.

Common questions

The company that installed our system is gone. Can you take it over?

Yes, and it is a regular part of what we do. We start with a visit to find out what is actually in the house, what the equipment is, how it was wired, and what still has support behind it. You get a written picture of where things stand before anyone talks about money.

Will you tell us to rip everything out?

Usually not. Most systems we inherit have more life in them than the owner expects, and the real problem is a failed network switch, an abandoned app or a licence nobody renewed. Where something genuinely is past saving we will say so plainly and tell you what it would cost to leave it alone for another year.

We are not on a service plan. Will you still come?

Yes. Plan clients get next-business-day response and covered labour, so there is a real difference in speed, but we do not turn away someone whose house has stopped working because they are not on a plan.

What should I have ready when I call?

What stopped working, roughly when, and whether anything changed in the house around then: a new router from the cable company, a power cut, a television replaced. That is usually enough to know whether it can be fixed from here or needs a visit.

Can you fix things without coming to the house?

Often, yes. Most control and network equipment can be reached remotely, which is what the monitoring on a service plan is for. A surprising share of calls are resolved before anyone gets in a van.

What happens if something we installed fails?

Our own crew installed it, so our own crew comes back. Anything still inside its manufacturer's warranty we claim on your behalf rather than handing you a number, and if the fault is in something we did, we put it right. On a service plan you also hold next-business-day response.

Tell us about the space. We'll come out and give you a straightforward plan.

The consultation is complimentary and it starts with a walkthrough or a set of drawings. You will leave it knowing what is realistic in your house, what it costs, and what can wait until phase two.
