Who we are
A local company, still run by the people who started it.
We opened on Purchase Street in Rye in 1996 with a van, a van's worth of tools and one idea: home technology should be a pleasure to own, not a project to manage. We are in Armonk now, several thousand houses later, and that is still the whole business.
The work has changed. A house now expects lighting, shades, climate, networking and entertainment to act like one thing. Who we work for has not: a family that wants to come home and relax, and would rather not learn anything to do it.

A day at home
What it is actually like to live with.

Before anyone is properly awake.
The kitchen comes up at about a third, not full daylight. The heat has been on for half an hour, so the floor is not a shock. Nobody set any of this last night. It is simply what a Tuesday looks like in this house, and it would have looked the same at six or at seven.
Three children, three rooms, three screens.
This is the hour that breaks most houses. One is on a call for school upstairs, one is streaming in the den, someone else is on a laptop at the kitchen table, and none of them are waiting. The network was built for the top of the hill and the far bedroom, not for the room the router happens to sit in.
A film, with no lesson beforehand.
Everybody sits down. One button starts the film, drops the lights to a level where you can still find the popcorn, and closes the shades. Nobody is hunting for the right remote, and nobody has to be talked through the input list. A guest could do it.
What we build
Everything in the house that has a wire, on one system.
Featured work
The kinds of houses we do.

New Construction
Wired before the walls closed.
The least expensive smart home is the one planned while the studs are still showing. This is what that looks like.

Renovation
A full system, no new holes.
Plaster, lath, and a homeowner who just finished painting. A lot of our work looks like this, and it is very doable.

Home Theater
The room where movie night happens.
Not a dedicated cinema. The room your family already uses, made properly good at one more thing.
“They carefully outlined the system before starting and suggested using equipment we had when feasible and up to their high standards… It is now almost 2 years since we moved in and we remain happy with everything they did.”

The showroom
Sit in it before you buy it.
Everything we sell is on the floor in Armonk, working: Savant, Lutron keypads and shades, Sonance speakers, and the only CinemaTech seating on display in the two counties. Visits are by appointment so someone who knows the systems is with you, and there is no pitch at the end of it.

Start a project
Tell us about the space. We'll come out and give you a straightforward plan.
The consultation is complimentary and it starts with a walkthrough or a set of drawings. You will leave it knowing what is realistic in your house, what it costs, and what can wait until phase two.
