One square mile, and houses that deserve a careful hand.
Bronxville is a square mile of some of the best-built houses in the county: Lawrence Park's shingle and stone, the Tudors and colonials of the hill, and apartments by the station that are nicer than most houses.
Work in Bronxville is work in old, finely made houses, and it has to be invisible. Speakers that paint out, keypads in the switch locations, cable through closets and the back stairs, and nothing through original plaster that does not have to be. We have done enough of it to know where the house will let us go and where it will not.
Wi-Fi is the universal complaint, for the universal reason: plaster, lath, three or four floors and a router wherever the cable company left it. Wired access points on each floor, placed to measurements, and the problem is solved for good.
A media room in a Bronxville house is usually a lower level that has to be finished properly first, and we are happy to come in alongside the contractor at that stage rather than after. The same goes for a renovation: if the walls are open, call us before they close.
The apartments by the village have their own constraints, concrete, no attic, a co-op board, and we know how to work within them.
Bronxville is about half an hour from the showroom in Armonk. On a service plan most things are fixed from the office; when a visit is needed, it is our own people who come.

Common questions
Questions we get from Bronxville homeowners.
- Can you work in a Lawrence Park house without damaging it?
- Yes, and it is what we are for. Cable goes through closets, the basement and the attic. Speakers are the kind that paint out. Keypads replace what is on the wall rather than adding to it. Where something must show, we show you the choices first.
- Do you work in the co-op apartments?
- We do. Shades, lighting, audio and a proper network, scheduled and specified to what the building allows. We talk to the managing agent before we propose anything.
- We are renovating. When should we talk?
- Before the walls close. Running wire into open framing costs a fraction of doing it afterwards, and it is the only chance to get speakers, shade pockets and the network exactly where they should be.

The consultation is complimentary and it starts with a walkthrough or a set of drawings. You will leave it knowing what is realistic in your house, what it costs, and what can wait until phase two.
