Where the county meets Greenwich, and the houses were built this century.

Rye Brook has more houses built in the last thirty years than almost anywhere else in the county, which changes what we do there. Less fishing wire through plaster, more making a well-built house actually use what is in its walls.

A newer Rye Brook house often came with some structured wiring, and the first thing we do is find out what. Sometimes it is excellent and the job is putting it to work. Sometimes it was run to the wrong places by someone in a hurry. Either way we look before we propose anything.

The requests are consistent: a media room on the lower level, music in the kitchen, family room and patio, shades for the two-storey glass that newer houses favour, and lighting that replaces the bank of eight dimmers inside the front door.

Because Rye Brook sits on the state line, a lot of our clients here work in Greenwich or Stamford and keep odd hours. Systems get designed for a house that is used early and late, with scenes that get the house ready before anyone is home.

The showroom is fifteen minutes away on King Street and North Greenwich Road. Come and sit in a theater before you decide what you want in yours.

An easier first step

The showroom is at 5 N Greenwich Rd in Armonk, with CinemaTech seating on the floor. Ten minutes in the chairs, handling the finishes, settles more than a swatch card will, and it costs nothing.

Common questions

Questions we get from Rye Brook homeowners.

Our house has wiring already. Can you use it?
Usually some of it. We trace what is there, test it, and tell you what is usable. Good existing cable saves real money and we would rather use it than sell you new.
What is the most useful first step in a newer house?
The network, then lighting. A newer house has the cable paths; it rarely has the equipment to match. After that, one room done properly, then decide.
Do you serve both sides of the state line?
Yes. Westchester County and Fairfield County, and nowhere else. Rye Brook and Greenwich are the same drive for us.
