Old houses, careful work.
Katonah's village was moved, house by house, in the 1890s to make way for the reservoir, and the people who live in those houses tend to care how work is done in them. So do we.
The historic district asks for restraint. Nobody wants a speaker grille in a 1890s parlour or a keypad screwed through original trim, and there are ways round both: in-ceiling speakers that paint out, lighting control that replaces the switch rather than adding to it, and a television that can live behind a panel or above a mantel without the wiring showing. The craft is in the routing, through closets, basements and attics, and in knowing when to stop.
Outside the village, Katonah is acreage, barns and long drives, and the questions change. Wi-Fi that reaches the pool house and the barn, outdoor sound that does not carry to the neighbours, and a generator and battery plan that keeps the house working through the storms that take this part of the county down a few times a year.
Katonah clients tend to be people who have thought about their house for a long time. They want to understand what they are buying. We will walk it with you and explain the system in plain language, and we would rather do one room well than oversell the whole house.

We will come out and look. If you want a sense of budget before that, the calculator gives a planning range from what you are considering.
An easier first step
Come and sit in the seating before you decide anything.
The showroom is at 5 N Greenwich Rd in Armonk, with CinemaTech seating on the floor. Ten minutes in the chairs, handling the finishes, settles more than a swatch card will, and it costs nothing.
Common questions
Questions we get from Katonah homeowners.
- Can you install in a historic Katonah house without damaging it?
- Yes, and it is a particular skill. Wireless lighting control uses the existing switch locations. Speaker and network wire travels through closets, the basement and the attic rather than through walls. Where something has to be visible, we show you the options and let you decide.
- Power goes out here a lot. What do you recommend?
- Battery storage with the generator on the same plan, so the house carries on without anyone noticing. Savant Power lets you choose which circuits matter and how long they run. We size it to the house rather than to a brochure.
- How far are you from Katonah?
- About twenty minutes, from the showroom in Armonk. Close enough that a service visit is this week, not next month.

The consultation is complimentary and it starts with a walkthrough or a set of drawings. You will leave it knowing what is realistic in your house, what it costs, and what can wait until phase two.
