North Stamford's acreage, Shippan's water, and the apartments downtown.

Stamford is three different jobs. North Stamford is acreage and 1960s to 2000s houses on wooded lots, Shippan and the shore are glass and salt air, and downtown is towers with views and a management company. We do all three, twenty minutes from the showroom.

North Stamford houses sit on two or three acres among trees, and the first problem is nearly always the network: a long house, a detached garage, a pool, and a router wherever the cable company left it. Wired access points placed to measurements, and a buried run to anything outside, and the rest of the system has something to stand on.

On the water, Shippan and Dolphin Cove, the houses face the Sound through a great deal of glass, and shades on a sun schedule are the thing people wish they had done first. Anything outdoors is specified for salt: brass, marine-grade, not painted aluminium.

Downtown, in the towers along Washington Boulevard and by the harbour, the work is apartments: shades, lighting, music, a screen that does not dominate the living room, and a building's rules respected. We talk to the management company before we propose anything.

Stamford is also where a lot of our clients work, and systems here tend to be designed for a house used early and late, with scenes that get it ready before anyone is home.

Stamford

Have a house in Stamford? Tell us about it.

We will come out and look. If you want a sense of budget before that, the calculator gives a planning range from what you are considering.

An easier first step

Come and sit in the seating before you decide anything.

The showroom is at 5 N Greenwich Rd in Armonk, with CinemaTech seating on the floor. Ten minutes in the chairs, handling the finishes, settles more than a swatch card will, and it costs nothing.

Common questions

Questions we get from Stamford homeowners.

Do you work in Stamford apartments and condominiums?
Yes. Shades, lighting, audio and a proper network, specified to what the building allows and scheduled around it. Concrete and no attic change how we route things, not whether we can.
We are in North Stamford and the Wi-Fi dies at the far end. Why?
A long house and a single router. The answer is a wired access point at each end, placed to measurements, and a buried run to the garage or pool house. Mesh equipment is a bandage on this; wire is the fix.
How far is Armonk from Stamford?
About twenty minutes, up King Street. Close enough for a service visit this week and for you to see the showroom first.
