Waterfront houses here are glass on the south side, and shades on a sun schedule are the thing people most often say they should have done first. Fabric chosen with your designer so the view stays, motors you cannot hear. Anything outdoors is specified for salt: brass and marine-grade, nothing painted.
Westport rebuilds constantly, and if you are mid-project the most useful thing we can say is: call before the walls close. Wire into open framing costs a fraction of what it does afterwards, and it is the only chance to get the speakers, the pockets and the equipment room right.
The village houses and the ones off the Post Road ask for a family's list: a media room, music in the kitchen and on the terrace, lighting that gets the ground floor ready on one button.
Westport is a longer drive from Armonk than our Westchester towns, and we would rather say so than pretend. On a service plan most faults are fixed from the office; when a visit is needed, it is our own crew.

- Yes, on a schedule tied to the sun, so they close before the room heats and open when the light moves. The fabric keeps the view and loses the glare. Quiet motors, pockets set properly if the walls are open.
- What outdoor equipment lasts near the beach?
- Brass and marine-grade only. We specify Coastal Source for speakers and landscape lighting near salt water because it is built for it. Anything else fails in two seasons.
- How far away are you?
- About thirty-five minutes from Armonk. On a service plan most problems are fixed remotely. When someone has to come, it is us, not a subcontractor.
